For Alicia Riley, her job as a sports therapist for the St. Louis Rivers baseball team is a home run—until she becomes the primary therapist for star pitcher, Garrett Scott. Out of the lineup with an injury, he’s short-tempered, hard to handle, and every solid inch, a man.
Right now, the only demand he’s making on Alicia is that she get him ready to pitch in time for opening day. Except the sexual chemistry between them is so charged, Alicia’s tempted to oblige Garrett just about anything. But both their careers are at stake—one bad move and it’s game over for both of them.
Garrett also feels the hot sparks between them, and the way he figures it, what better therapy is there than sex? Now all he has to do is convince the woman with the power to make the call.
Another Hot book from Jaci Burton and I got to hear about all the past relationships from the previous books. There is obvious sparks flying off the pages when it comes to Alicia and Garrett but there's that work ethic thing that really has Alicia torn. Alicia finally gives into her desires mid way through the book and that's when the smok'n hot sex starts steaming up the pages. Not sure where their relationship is going, once the season gets started Alicia seems to be cast aside. Alicia already knows how she feels about Garrett now it's up to Garrett to figure out how he really feels about Alicia before it's too late. Great ending. We get to meet Gray in this book which is a old college friend of Garrett's. Gray is the main guy in the next book "Once Sweet Ride" coming June 4, 2013- hope we get more of Alicia and Garrett in that book.
"She caught him looking at her, realized he was watching her lick her fingers. And not in a disgusted Why-don't-you-use-a-napkin? kind of way, but more of a You-could-be-sucking-my-cock-instead kind of way. Which got her thinking about his cock."
"Exercising with a hard-on doesn't get your blood flowing to the right muscles. I need it in your shoulder-not your cock."
"He was something amazing. Undeniably special. And he made her feel special."
"That man melts my butter."
